A World Health Organization survey of teens in 22 European countries, and in Canada, Greenland and Israel, found that Swedish teenagers use condoms the least. Overall, the survey found that around 30 percent of 15-year-old female respondents said they did not use a condom during their last act of sexual intercourse. The study said Finnish girls were the most sexually active of all the countries surveyed, with every third 15-year-old Finnish girl claiming to have had sexual intercourse, compared to only 23 percent of Finnish boys, Helsingin Sanomat reported Monday. "Young people do not care for themselves, let alone for others. They are not afraid of sexually transmitted diseases," said Dr. Eija Hiltunen-Back of Helsinki University Hospital. Hiltunen-Back said condoms were too costly and said more education on STDs is needed.
