Tips for Organizational Effectiveness From the National Minority AIDS Council Now Online

February 3, 2004

The National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC) Web site now offers a new Organizational Effectiveness Series, 14 technical assistance manuals for community-based organizations, HIV prevention community planning groups, health departments and other U.S. nonprofits.

The Council's Technical Assistance, Training and Treatment Division produced the series, which can be used alone or in conjunction with NMAC guidance and programs, such as the U.S. Conference on AIDS or regional training programs.

CDC and the Health Resources and Services Administration funded the project, which offers in-depth volumes on elements of the capacity-building experience, with guidance on topics including board development, faith-based leadership, fiscal management, grant writing, human resources, leadership development, technology development, and volunteer management.
