August 18, 2017

Helping People Access PrEP: A Frontline Provider Manual on PrEP Research, Care and Navigation and Project Inform are pleased to announce a free new resource to assist PrEP navigation staff in California: "Helping People Access PrEP: A Frontline Provider Manual on PrEP Research, Care and Navigation."

This publication provides a wide range of information to aid the daily work that frontline staff engage in to support PrEP access and adherence. With this launch, continues its commitment to fostering awareness of and access to this HIV prevention strategy statewide.

"We created this manual so navigators throughout California -- especially those new to this field of work -- have a centralized resource for tools to help them support their clients," states Alan McCord, Director of Education at Project Inform.

"We intend this to be a 'living' resource, updating it regularly and adding new content as necessary. Anyone can sign up to be notified when those updates occur."

The manual can easily be incorporated into a binder and is free to download at Project Inform or PleasePrEPMe. Although some of the content relates to California-specific issues and services, navigation staff in other states may find it useful, as well.

Alan McCord is director of education at Project Inform.
