This month, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released updated guidelines for the treatment of persons who have or are at risk for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).
The issues and suggestions discussed in the guidelines include:
Physicians and other care providers are encouraged to use these guidelines to assist in preventing as well as treating STDs.
