StarAfrica reported that Botswana's National AIDS Coordinating Agency (NACA) will ramp up HIV prevention services during upcoming African youth games that the country will host May 22-31. NACA Public Relations Officer Lorato Mongatane said the agency will provide condom distribution and education, HIV counseling and testing, and adolescent sexual and reproductive health services during the games, and noted that sporting events provided an excellent platform for raising awareness of HIV/AIDS issues. More than 2,500 young athletes and officials will visit Botswana for the youth games.
