Dr. Muntu Davis, health officer for Alameda County Public Health Department, is scheduled to lead a free interactive training on HIV testing, linkage to care, and education measurement on Friday, January 11, from 9:00 a.m. to noon at Cal Prep, 2811 Adeline Street, in Oakland, California. The training series' goals are: increasing community awareness of the current emergency status of HIV/AIDS in Alameda County's African-American community; and engaging community members and stakeholders in efforts to address the epidemic in meaningful ways. Davis's discussion intends to assist attendees in identifying realistic measures to gauge how well agencies are delivering services. For more information or to register, please call (510) 5758245.
