Two weeks ago, the International AIDS Society sent out notifications regarding the acceptance and rejection of abstract submissions and scholarship applications for the upcoming International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2012) in Washington D.C.
As in previous years, a large number of high-quality abstracts on MSM and transgender issues have been rejected from the conference. Of the few authors whose abstracts on these issues were accepted, only a small number were granted scholarships to attend.
A great deal of progress has been made on research and programs for these populations over the past two years. With only a fraction of this important work represented at the main conference, the Global Forum on MSM & HIV (MSMGF) has made plans to feature the high-quality MSM and transgender abstracts that will not be presented at AIDS 2012 in a new publication to be released before the conference.
You are invited to submit your abstract for inclusion in this publication if:
Abstracts should be submitted by May 4, 2012 through the online survey form available at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GCC5L7W.
You must submit your abstract in the exact form that it was submitted to AIDS 2012. Abstracts will be scored by an independent editorial board according to their adherence to the Official AIDS 2012 Abstract Submission Guidelines, as well as the clarity and relevance of the content. Decisions will be made by May 18, 2012.
Any questions can be directed to MSMGF Policy Associate Mohan Sundararaj at email@example.com.
Thank you very much! We look forward to working with you to share your important work this summer!
