AIDS Survival Project supports Unique Identifiers as a means of HIV surveillance.

Treatment Resource Center

The Resource Center is open Monday - Wednesday 10 AM until 8 PM, and Thursday & Friday 10AM - 5PM.

Knowledge Is Power

The Treatment Resource Center maintains extensive reference materials covering the entire scope of HIV disease. Major topics include medications, nutrition, complementary therapies, opportunistic infections and issues concerning special populations, including a section on Women and HIV and a section of resources en espaņol. Internet access is available free of charge. Our full-time Treatment Resource Specialist and volunteers are available to assist you in finding what you need. You are welcome to copy whatever information you find helpful.

Over 250 files are maintained with the most current information available: articles from the medical journals, newspapers and magazines, as well as updates from the CDC and a wide range of research organizations. The information is filed alphabetically by subject matter and a general index list of all subjects on which we have information. The index is cross-referenced and updated regularly and frequently. Materials are filed in reverse chronological order so that the most recent information is in the front of the binder.

Treatment Files

Information on all forms of therapy for HIV/AIDS, both standard and alternative. There are individual files for the most important therapies used in fighting the virus, including treatments used in Europe. In fact, alternative therapies are so often requested that these files make up more than 15 volumes of information. There is a "Summary Of Alternative Therapies" section with its own index.

Opportunistic Infections Files

Material on the latest therapies in the treatment and prevention of HIV/AIDS specific infections.

Social Issues Files

Articles on social, political and economic issues related to HIV/AIDS, as well as information on methods of more positive living. Topic include legal issues such as employment, discrimination and the Americans with Disabilities Act and other issues for special populations.

Publications

AIDS Survival Project subscribes to a number of periodicals and newsletters related to HIV/AIDS which are available for use at the Resource Center. These include BETA, AIDS Treatment News, GMHC Treatment Issues, Project Inform Perspective -- to name a few. All current and past issues are on file for your use.
