Reyataz and peripheral neuropathy

QUESTION:

Have you seen peripheral neuropathy with Reyataz? If yes, have you had any patients continue the drug with resolution of the symptoms? Thanks

    Thanks for your post.

    I've not seen any convincing data, nor have any patients under my care that associates atazanavir with peripheral neuropathy. That said, it's important to bear in mind that PN can clearly occur among those with HIV infection- I'd wonder if the exacerbation is related to virus more than medications.
