NEED INFO ON SIDE EFFECTS

QUESTION:

DO YOU KNOW ANY NEW SIDE EFFECTS FOR THIS MEDICATION SEREVANT DISKUS I MAY HAVE NOT SPELLED IT CORRECT BUT IT IS USED IN CYSTIC FIBROSIS PATIENTS PLEASE HELP ME

    Thanks for your question.

    Servent (salmeterol, inhaled) is an inhaled steroid used for treatment of a number of pulmonary conditions.

    Its side effect profile is similar to other inhaled steroids, in general. In general the med is very well tolerated. Side effects include nasal symptoms (congestion, runny nose), throat irritation and headache. Very rarely, allergic reactions with rash, bronchospasm or even angioedema can occur.
