CD4 in pregnancy Posted: Oct 26, 2006 QUESTION: A patient of mine on HAART reports pregnant on her next visit and she anyway wanted this but her CD4 is 120,up from 75 in 3 months.Her viral load is undetectable.My worry is not the combination she ought to use but should CD4 worry me in this instance?


RESPONSE FROM: Thanks for your post. If your patient is on HAART, the increase of CD4 count is consistent with a very nice reponse to treatment. A 45 cell rise in three months should be no reason for worry. Best, BY
