Can Immmunization help

QUESTION:

Apart from Anti-retrovirals,is there any posibility of finding drug that will be injected in the human body stream to prevent hiv infection/attack o the immune system apart the one that reduces the rate at which hiv multply after infection which is what we have now?


  

RESPONSE FROM:   

    Well entry inhibitors such as Fuzeon and Maravaroc may fit this bill. They block entry of HIV into cells and are attractive candidates to study as a pre- or post-exposure prophylaxis.
